Autumns on the Spey

I moved 3 times in the last 5 years but never far from the River Spey. First an old Bothy at Carron Bridge next a ghillies cottage at Laggan and now Drummuir, all beautiful places to live.

In 2008 I began to pay attention to Spey flies and was inspired by AE Knox's 'Autumns on the Spey' circa 1870.

16 great tyers from around the world each would furnished me with one of the patterns from the book. The whole project took two years and the flies were donated to CFR Casting For Recovery
